The Rules Committee may require further information from the team prior to finalising an answer and may also require review of the team’s FMEA for major variations or new concepts.

Please allow a minimum of two (2) weeks for a response. The Rules Committee will respond as quickly as possible, however responses to questions presenting new issues, or of unusual complexity, may take more than two weeks. Please do not send emails as this will only slow down the process.
Rule for 2021 Team Member Eligibility
Due to the unique circumstances in 2020 relating to Covid19, we have been asked if team members, who will no longer be students in 2021 and would otherwise miss out on any event participation or involvement with the fruits of their labours, could be allowed to participate in 2021.
This will be allowed but only in accordance with the following determination.
In order for those students who will be graduating in 2020 to be eligible to compete in the 2021 FSAE competition, teams must submit their 2020 team list, signed by their Faculty Advisor, to SAE-A by 1st December 2020. Affected team members wishing to compete then need to apply for exception at the time of their team's 2021 team registration by having a notation on their registration form of the members affected, including full contact details for the affected team members. SAE-A will then check that the "student" qualifies for this exemption, and advise each team member of their eligibility. This rule modification applies for 2021 only.
